End of Year Testing
PASS Testing
Students are tested on Science or Social Studies. In 5th grade, the students will take Science or Social Studies as well.
ACT Testing
New to us last year, we will be taking the ACT Aspire test for Writing, ELA, and Math again this year. We are hoping that with one year of this test under our belts, students will be adequately prepared and ready to go by the end of the year!
MAP Testing
During the school year, your child will take tests called the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP). We give students MAP tests to determine your child’s instructional level and to measure academic growth from year to year. Your child will take these tests on the computer.
Your child’s Map results are reported in RIT scores. This is a different type of score from other tests. The RIT score is an equal-interval scale, like feet and inches, and is independent from grade level. The type of score increases the value of the tests as a tool to enable to teachers to focus on areas of growth and weakness.
